EXHIBIT AT THE DAHL ARTS CENTER

The Rapid City Arts Council is continually planning for the future and has opportunities for professional and emerging artists.

In our contemporary arts center, the RCAC strives to:
  • Engage the public in dialogue about issues and ideas that affect our communities, as expressed by contemporary art
  • Provide opportunities for the public to interact with and learn about art, artists and artistic processes.

EMERGING ARTISTS
We encourage emerging artists to submit proposals for exhibits showcasing their original works of art in the Bruce H. Lien Cultural Café Gallery. Through a variety of exhibitions using different mediums this program mentors emerging artists and assists in increasing their public exposure. Are you interested?

Not quite ready for a solo exhibition? Get your artist friends together and submit a proposal for a group show of 1-5 artists. Each artist should complete an application and indicate that they are applying as part of a group and include the other participating artists' names.

Not quite ready to exhibit, but in need of mentorship regarding your art? Contact Katie Wolff to set up a meeting to discuss your goals as an artist.

Questions? Contact Katie Wolff, Community Engagement Coordinator | 605.394.4101 (Press 3)

PROFESSIONAL ARTISTS
We welcome proposals from artists and guest curators for exhibitions in any media and in any subject area. Please download our exhibit opportunities brochure to learn more.

On behalf of the Rapid City Arts Council, the Dahl staff, Board of Directors, and our volunteers, we would like to express our sincere gratitude and thank the City of Rapid City for their ongoing support of our organization. It is because of support like this that we are able to continue to fulfill our mission to champion inclusive, innovative and inspired arts opportunities to enrich the communities we serve.

The Rapid City Arts Council receives support from generous members and donors, the City of Rapid City,  SD Community Foundation, and the South Dakota Arts Council with funds from the State of South Dakota, through the Department of Tourism and the National Endowment for the Arts. Special thanks to Bierschbach Equipment and Supply and Dakota Business Center, Carter Taylor.

The Dahl Arts Center is a municipal facility managed by the Rapid City Arts Council and owned by the City of Rapid City.
