Rapid City Arts Council Announces Raffle of Rare Salvador Dalí Lithograph to Support Arts Programming and Collections

Rapid City, SD — Rapid City Arts Council (RCAC) is pleased to announce an exciting fundraising raffle featuring El Caballero (The Horseman), #90/125, a limited-edition lithograph created in 1968 by renowned surrealist artist Salvador Dalí. The raffle offers community members a rare opportunity to own an important piece of 20th-century art while supporting our local arts scene.

Proceeds from the raffle will directly support the Arts Council’s mission to provide accessible arts programming, exhibitions, and educational opportunities, as well as to preserve and expand its permanent collection.

The raffle officially launched on April 18, 2026, and will run through October 3, 2026. Tickets will be available for $20 each. The winning ticket will be drawn on October 3, 2026, during the Arts Council’s annual art auction fundraiser.

Ticket sales take place at the Dahl Arts Center, on the Rapid City Arts Council website, and will be available for purchase at several community events throughout the summer.

“This is a unique chance for art lovers and community supporters alike to engage with an extraordinary work of art while contributing to the cultural vitality of our region,” said Travis Dewes, Rapid City Arts Council Executive Director.

The lithograph was generously donated in 2014 by Johanna Meier Della Vecchia, who has since given her consent for the piece to be raffled as part of an initiative to raise funds for the RCAC’s ongoing operations and the care and growth of its collections.

For more information about the raffle, ticket availability, or upcoming events, please visit the Dahl website (thedahl.org/dali) or stop by the Dahl Arts Center.
