I saw that there is member pricing and non-member pricing for classes. Where can I find more information and how do I become a member?
Memberships are a great way to support the Rapid City Arts Council and Dahl Arts Center, while also receiving special benefits! Click here for more information on our different levels of membership and all member benefits. Do purchase a membership, call us at 605-394-4101 or stop in and see us at 713 7th St., Rapid City, SD 57701!

Are the age range policies for classes final?
All classes have a set age range that will be closely followed and monitored. Age range restrictions are put in place to ensure that effective teaching strategies and classroom interactions are developmentally appropriate and manageable for students and instructors alike. Any special request for enrollment outside of the listed class age range must be made prior to registration through the Art Education Director, Melissa Nelson. All students requesting special enrollment must have actively participated in a class within their age range for a skill level review.

The Rapid City Arts Council staff and Board of Directors thanks the City of Rapid City for continuously supporting our mission and the arts. The generosity of our many volunteers, donors, and members drives our mission to champion inclusive, innovative and inspiring arts opportunities to enrich the communities we serve.  Additional support comes from the South Dakota Community Foundation, Black Hills Community Foundation, and the South Dakota Arts Council with funds from the State of South Dakota through the Department of Tourism and the National Endowment for the Arts. Special thanks to our events sponsor, Bierschbach Equipment. The Dahl Arts Center is a municipal facility of the City of Rapid City and is managed by the Rapid City Arts Council on behalf of the Rapid City community.
