BECOME AN INSTRUCTOR

AT THE DAHL ARTS CENTER

Become a Contracted Instructor

The Rapid City Arts Council is dedicated to hosting quality art education and art experiences for the community.

​We are currently searching for:
  • Instructors for youth winter and summer camps, grades K-12 - all mediums
  • Instructors for weekly afterschool art classes and clubs
  • Instructors for one session adult workshops that introduce community members to an art form - all mediums
  • Instructors for one session youth workshops that introduce students to an art form - all mediums
  • Instructors for private lessons for both individuals and small groups, youth and adult - all mediums
  • Instructors for private parties and custom classes, youth and adult - all mediums
  • Instructors for the Teaching Artists Program (TAP) in partnership with Rapid City Area Schools

Contracted Instructor Information

  • Are you interested is sharing your art expertise? Start by completing the interest form below. Following your interest form submission, we will contact you about submitting a proposal and completing a background check.
  • Teaching Artists work with the Rapid City Arts Council as independent contractors, not employees. The RCAC works with teaching artists on an individual and customized basis for scheduling, compensation, and program supplies.
  • The RCAC handles all marketing, registration, and program fees for you so you can focus on teaching. 
  • Just looking for classroom space? Contact Education Department about renting classroom space at the Dahl Arts Center.
