VOLUNTEER

WE ARE POWERED BY VOLUNTEERS

Volunteers are the heart and soul of the RCAC. This group of dedicated and passionate volunteers provides vital support at the Dahl Arts Center and in the community while working with RCAC staff and visitors in an energizing and inspiring environment. It is impossible to do what we do without the support of a dedicated group of people who choose to donate their time and energy.

Consider volunteering for the RCAC! It's a great way to connect with like-minded people, get a behind-the-scenes look at the Dahl, and you don't need to have a background in the arts to be involved!
  • We are looking for people of all ages and interests.
  • Opportunities are made to suit your schedule and your skills.
  • No previous experience is required. However, you must be enthusiastic, flexible, and willing to learn new things.
  • Training is provided.

Opportunities include:
  • Provide an enriching experience and make guests feel welcome as exhibit and events support.
  • Growing lifelong supporters of the arts by engaging with children and families during special events and school tours.
  • Introduce visitors to the work of over 80 diverse local artists while assisting in our Gift Shop.
  • Work directly with Arts Council staff to promote our programming and we always have filing and data entry that we need help with!

INTERESTED IN VOLUNTEERING?
Tell us about yourself! Complete our volunteer sign-up form, or stop by the Dahl Arts Center for an application.

THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING THE RAPID CITY ARTS COUNCIL

Picture
The Rapid City Arts Council staff and Board of Directors thanks the City of Rapid City for continuously supporting our mission and the arts. The generosity of our many volunteers, donors, and members drives our mission to champion inclusive, innovative and inspiring arts opportunities to enrich the communities we serve.  Additional support comes from the South Dakota Community Foundation, Black Hills Area Community Foundation, and the South Dakota Arts Council with funds from the State of South Dakota through the Department of Tourism and the National Endowment for the Arts. The Dahl Arts Center is a municipal facility of the City of Rapid City and is managed by the Rapid City Arts Council on behalf of the Rapid City community.
