Bob H. Miller Took Barbie to a Different Dimension with Exclusive Pop-Up Exhibition, Barbie Dahl

RAPID CITY, SD
– The Rapid City Arts Council is pleased to announce the Barbie Dahl Pop-Up Exhibition by Bob H. Miller. This pop-up exhibition will run from August 29 through September 21, with an artist meet and greet on September 1 from 5-7pm as part of First Fridays Art Walk.

Bob H. Miller often considers himself a pop artist, incorporating advertising and popular culture by working mass-produced objects into his artwork. In the early ‘90s, while exploring magazine collage, Polaroid photography, and alternative B&W photo processes, Miller’s inspiration became the pinup model figure of the Barbie doll, which aided in creating this collection, the Barbie Dahl Pop-Up Exhibition.

A meet and greet with Miller will be in the Lobby at the Dahl Arts Center during the Downtown Art Walk on September 1, from 5 pm to 7 pm.

For more information on this exhibit,
